Martha plimpton david carradine uncle, Meet Martha Plimpton, the actress famous for her ’80s roles and the niece of David Carradine. Carradine passed away yesterday, June 3, 2009; he was found in a Thailand hotel room, hanged in the closet. David’s brother Keith is Martha’s father.

Martha released a statement regarding Carradine’s death on behalf of her family. She states,

“My Uncle David was a brilliantly talented, fiercely intelligent and generous man. He was the nexus of our family in so many ways, and drew us together over the years and kept us connected. I adored him as a child, and as an adult I admired and respected him. We will all miss him terribly, and are so grateful for everyone’s condolences. The passing of someone so loved is extremely difficult under any circumstances, and I hope that all those in the media who admired David will respect his legacy and allow his family and loved ones to grieve peacefully.”

Martha Plimpton Biography

As a biography, Martha Plimpton was born on November 16, 1970 in New York City. Her measurements are 5′5″. Martha landed her first role at age 10 in the movie “Rollover”, and later appeared in several Calvin Klein commercials. She is probably most recognized from her role in “The Goonies” as Stef. Her latest project is “The End of Steve”, a showtime series also starring Matthew Perry.

Martha works with “52nd Street Project”, a not-for-profit organization that matches inner city kids with professional theater actors to create and perform their own plays. She continues to work in the theater, appearing on Broadway and with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. For her work she has received two Tony nominations.
