Alex Rodriguez Yankees, Alex Rodriguez has completed rehab on his broken hand and will return to the New York Yankees lineup tomorrow in Tampa Bay.
Sports Media 101 Rodriguez is already in Tampa since he was rehabbing with the Class A affiliate based in Tampa. Manager Joe Girardi said in his post game press conference Alex would be in his line up tomorrow.
"I think it's important to get him back, because it does a lot of different things to our lineup," Girardi said. "He's a presence in our lineup. We've had to stack lefties a lot. When you see Tampa, they have a lot of lefties in their bullpen you have to deal with, so I think it does a lot to our lineup."
New York has sorely missed his right handed presence to help lengthen the lineup, especially against left handed pitching. The Yankees will be facing a lot of lefties as they progress through the rest of their schedule.
Since A-Rod went on the DL with a broken left hand on July 24, the Yankees are .500 (18-18) and have seen there 10 game lead in the AL East dwindle to two.
Rodriguez will be a welcome sight for this anemic offense.
