Jessica Simpson Baby [PHOTO] - Jessica Simpson showed off new photos of her four-month-old daughter Maxwell on her website Sept. 19, 2012, gushing over how the adorable little girl has grown recently. Simpson, who has lost over 40 pounds since giving birth in May, posted the pictures while celebrating the 33rd birthday of her fiancé, former NFL star Eric Johnson.
In one snapshot, Jessica showed off her slimmed-down physique--the result of daily exercise and careful dieting. The 5-foot-3 Simpson, who reportedly weighed over 200 pounds while pregnant, has been under intense media pressure to slim down after announcing her $4 million endorsement deal as a rep for Weight Watchers. So far, Jessica has been making great progress by walking up to an hour a day, working out 3-4 days with a trainer, and eating small portions of healthy foods.

Simpson, a self-professed emotional eater who loves cakes, sweets, and fried foods, has cut back on alcohol consumption and drastically limited junk food. Her trainer, Harley Pasternak (whose clients include Halle Berry, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry), says Simpson's workouts typically run 30-45 minutes, which includes a 5-10 minute cardio warm up, 20-30 minutes of resistance training and flexibility, followed by 5-10 minutes of cardio cool down. "We kept the movements simple.

No gymnastics. No Olympic-style lifting," Pasternak People. "Some days we focused on shoulders, the back of her thighs, and the front of her midsection. Other days we would target the back of her arms, inner thighs and the sides of her midsection. Most importantly, we made it fun!" A typical workout session includes the following: • 10 minutes speed walking •

Three exercises done as a nonstop circuit 5 times for 25 reps each: dumbbell dead-lift, lying dumbbell triceps extensions, and Superman exercise. • 10 minutes on the elliptical. Most mornings, Simpson, 32, straps on the pedometer and walks up to half an hour before going to her gym workout. While Simpson wouldn't reveal her current weight, she's proud of the progress she has made so far. Jessica, who once starved herself down to 110-115 pounds, says her weight struggle has made her stronger mentally and emotionally.

 "I have to separate myself from the world's expectations," she said, "I have to look inside myself. I want to be a role model. For me, I really want to do something that is a lifestyle, because in the past, I've been known to yo-yo diet. "I'm not a supermodel. I just want to be healthy for my daughter....I just wanna be a better version of myself."
